Belfast Giants vs Cardiff Devils at the SSE Arena

There is no flu that can hold me back from seeing a hockey game. In spite of the miserable cold that has been tormenting me for the entire day, yesterday evening I wrapped myself in heavy clothes and, at 6PM, we headed to the SSE Arena – Titanic Quarter – to see the Belfast Giants vs the Cardiff Devils. Finally an interesting match… The first match I saw playing here was the Giants vs SG Cortina, and there was no game at all. Back then I was recovering from pneumonia, and the hockey game was my first real night out in Belfast. It was quite daunting to be there again and not feeling great again, this time with a cold and cough. However, this time we had real fun…

In the end, the Giants lost (2-3), however the match was entertaining and the Devils well deserved their victory. As we got home, we finished our night with “dinner” and prosecco. A good way to forget about the cold overnight… 😉

Birthday present? Nailed it! It was a perfect night…
