This time we have been lucky. Storm Desmond – with its high winds and heavy persistent rain – has badly hit Ireland and Scotland, causing widespread flooding over the last 36 hours. The regions most affected by the storm were the south, west and north-west. Yesterday evening, a video of a RTE correspondent Teresa Mannion doing her job in difficult weather conditions went viral:

But also here in Bray we have seen the Storm Desmond effects. This morning, as we woke up, we opened the windows and that’s what we saw in our back garden…

It quite gives you the idea of what a strong wind is like… Today the sky is clear, with no wind. As we don’t know how long it is going to ask, we might as well enjoy it… 😉
